本学会員でありCSFのassociate editorを務められ、細胞生物学会に長年貢献されてきた京都大学森和俊教授が「米国のノーベル賞」と呼ばれるラスカー賞の基礎医学部門の受賞者に選ばれました。Unfolded Protein Response(UPR)、即ち小胞体ストレス応答の分子的基盤を明らかにした先駆的な研究で米国のPeter Walter 教授との共同受賞です。
